Energy Body Details

The energy body surrounds the physical body and extends in all directions up to 2-3 feet. It contains the acupuncture channels, a chakra system, and what is commonly called the 'aura'. The acupuncture meridians are like rivers of light that travel the entire body and connect deeply to internal organ systems. The chakras are round funnels of energy that extend from the spine outwards. There are 7 major chakras found between the base of the spine and the crown of the head, plus many additional smaller chakras on the body.

The chakra system is also a philosophical model of healing that contains a map of personal evolution or transformation.




The energy body contains information about all of our experiences in life while the chakras relate to various aspects of our personal development. When receiving energy work, some people become aware of their chakras or their energy body and can describe how it feels to them or where they feel imbalances.
